Commemorating Rin Tin Tin

Forsyth, the City of Trees….. and a dog on every tree….. is located in a valley along the banks of the Yellowstone River. The community of about 1777 residents is diverse in job opportunities, activities, services, and attractions. Economic benefits come from tourism, agriculture, railroad, coal mining, and various small businesses.

Well, Forsyth and Big Timber are each comparable in size, but I don’t recall Forsyth ever being mentioned, or even under consideration, as the future site of the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame!  Due to the heavy “tourism” industry in Forsyth, this would seem to be an obvious and logical choice.   In lieu of a $25M facility and tourist attraction, perhaps Forsyth could erect a town square……featuring a fire hydrant and a bronzed statue of Rin Tin Tin?
