WHERE'S THE LUTEFISK?

Torgerson saw a store clerk and asked him where could he find the lutefisk.  The clerk replied “oh, are you Norwegian”? Torgerson said “vel yes, but if I asked you for Irish whiskey would you ask me if I was Irish, or if I asked for sauerkraut would you ask me if I was German, or if I asked for polish sausage would you ask me if I was Polish”?

The clerk replied “well, probably not”.  So Torgerson said “vel, den why would you ask me if I was Norwegian”?   

The clerk said “because this happens to be an Ace Hardware store”.
